Reports: Pugba bears the badge of the leadership of Manchester United after the departure of Valencia

Manchester United striker Paul Pogba has been named the captain of the team after succeeding Ecuadorian Antonio Valencia.

Valencia became the captain of Manchester United on the eve of leaving the English club, after the latter decided not to activate the extension of the contract between the two parties for an additional season.
Valencia's contract with Manchester United ends at the end of the season with the possibility of extending the contract for a new season, but some press reports have confirmed that the club will not extend to the Ecuadorian player.

According to the British newspaper Mirror, Pogba is the No. 1 candidate to carry the Red Devils' badge.

The second captain of the club was former Portuguese coach Jose Mourinho, who was dismissed by the club's former manager Jose Luis Mourinho because of differences between them before the departure of the Spanish One.

It is worth mentioning that Pogba participated this season in 34 games in all competitions, scoring 14 goals and making 9 others.
