Liverpool striker Mohamed Salah said he had not thought of passing the second goal for Southampton and was happy to reach 50 league goals.

"I think this is the 50th goal for Liverpool in the Premier League, so it's unique. After nine games without scoring, Henderson scored for the first time in 30 games so we both feel happy," Mohammed Salah told Sky Sports after the match.
Asked if he thought of passing the ball: "No, at all, as a striker I need to score, I'm thinking of scoring, maybe if anyone is in a better place, I'd think about it. But I made my decision and I'm happy."

In his first season with Liverpool, Mohamed Salah scored 32 goals and scored 18 goals so far in the Premier League this season.

Mohammed Salah returned for the first time since 9 February when he scored against Bournemouth and continued for nine games in all tournaments without scoring a goal.
